Bubbles.....

Ok so I’ve started preparations for little Bella’s 2nd B-day and we have still to decide if it will be Dora or an under the water Mermaid theme.  One thing is for sure we will have a bubble station and I already started playing with the formula’s… here is a tutorial on how to make Homemade Bubble solution I’m sure it will come in handy in the hot summer days we have ahead of us.

Homemade Bubble Solution

What you will need to make 1 gallon of solution – sure to last all summer:

11   cups of Water
5      cups of Dishwashing Detergent (Dawn, Ajax or Ultra Joy work best)
1      cup of Light Corn Syrup

Simply stir or whisk all ingredients together and leave in an open container overnight.  I have found that letting it rest and evaporate a little makes the solution work better.

You can then pour into individual bottles (empty washed baby food containers and spice jars work great) and attach a wand.  We made our wands with Pipe cleaners.  Simply wrap around a round spice jar or cookie cutter in a cute shape like a star or heart etc. and tie to hold shape. You can also get big wands at the Dollar Tree or any dollar store to make big bubbles.
